As previously reported, Caval Haylett Jr., 18, was shot while standing outside 104 Winnikee Ave. with a group of people on Wednesday, March 9.

Haylett's name was still printed in the graduation program and marked with two stars for remembrance, reported the Poughkeepsie Journal.

He entered his senior year needing just two credits to graduate and reportedly spoke excitedly about plans for college and the future, the Poughkeepsie Journal said.
